Revisiting Orange

jacket/Vintage, basic tee/Padini, embellished accordion pleat skirt/Zara, embellished sandals/H&M, nano biker bag/Lush
Being a color enthusiast, I Incorporated the color Orange into my outfit for this pre-monsoon season. It was not good while it started as several places were affected with muddy flood water. But i do hope the situation improved so i can enjoy the monsoon without worrying for the piles of undried clothes especially jackets and coats that i will wearing soon. (Sorry, i prefer to do my own laundry rather than leaving it to laundrette, it's a matter of trust-more like will i be able to get back the pieces that I've sent in? you know what i mean..)

It is good that more variety of outerwear is made available here compared to before considering the relevance of weather that we are in here. I always believe that we don't need to experience snow in order to utilise coats like the westerners do. Try monsoon, it is almost equivalent especially when you're working indoors in the air-condition office.

Monsoon's Picks

The most (well, my most) anticipated season of this year would be none the less the 'monsoon'.. It's the closest i can get to the Fall category. I have always loved four seasons and my favourite among them are the Spring and Fall, one from each category (SS/AW). Reason? I LOVE coats, jackets, ponchos, outerwear, hats, scarves and neckpiece accessories. They are always a dearie outfit additions, in my opinion.

This monsoon, i look forward to incorporate all of these skirts as my outfit to church (its the only place i can ever think of utilizing them for now). I am loving the mix of pleats, cutting, fall, texture, color, shapes and sizes from these pieces. However, although it is wise to pair a full volume skirt against a decent crop top, but for me sweatshirts preferably the ones with three-quarter sleeves works the best as i have a shorter lower torso, height and body shape that is unfriendly to crop tops.

I have my recent crush on coats and will try to share them with you. Till then, i hope you all have a fruitful three more months to go before the year officially ends.

Bubble Skirt Story

coat/Zara AW12, dress/Zara, pumps/Nose, ring/customized

These pictures were from an acquaintance wedding where i can finally put my favourite dress and coat to good use after a long good sleep in the wardrobe. The wedding was held at Hyatt Regency Kuantan so i thought of putting on something more classy yet polished at the same time.

I felt so happy in my dress that i actually took the trouble to uploaded it in Facebook to share with my friends and i got pretty surprised with their comments instead of compliments. They asked if i am pregnant? {Zoink!} i was speechless for a moment not knowing how i should reply :D

So, i concluded a little advice to myself, bubble skirts actually have an expiry date on age and body size. Seen it, live it to testify :D

Colors in depth

I have decided to give a boost to my look by changing the hair to red color. As you all may have known I am originally black haired. The inspiration came from a book i recently bought from a sale rack in a hypermarket for only RM5 (haha! that's what i call a steal). Sorry, I am very stingy when comes to books because i don't feel the worthiness to pay so much for a book, specifically story books. What am I going to do with it after reading? Furthermore, the resale value depletes tremendously despite the condition of the book as good as new ain't it? It is worth a lot more if its a dictionary or Bible where recurrence of use is justified..

Anyway, the book entitled "How not to wear Black" contained series of personality and character test and description. I have discovered that I am a sanguine with warm skin tone and Black and White are my worst enemy, I should avoid them as much as possible! It is a shame that i loved colours so much yet have very little knowledge about it. There science behind the primary colours that we can use it to our advantage and create illusions and positive energy etc.. Ever since, I have been trying my best to incorporate ensemble to exclude both colours. That explains the pictures above, i do hope the hair color suits me, honestly i felt very awkward having red for my hair. Happy Holidays and be inspired always!
