The perfect loyalty

Quote credit: Mom ♥
"... while others have left for their own self-betterment, you have stayed for the betterment of others, there is a word for them-selfish, there is also a word for you-selfless. Thank you for staying and may the good Lord bless you in all your endeavors..." - Mom
This phrase caught me by amazement when it was briefly articulated by mom early this week. It meant too much to me because it relates so well in two circumstances in my life, both family & work. my beloved mom & sisters (Wendy & Ivy) have sacrificed all that they have just so that our younger siblings are fully taken care in the areas of attention, love, welfare and academic support. Soon, both my sisters will be living their married life out of this lovely state. Throughout the past, I am very blessed to have them to guide Pauline & Daniel, due to the fact that I rarely involved in most of the things. I would never have became the person I am today without their love & support for the family and I pray for the abundance in blessings to always be upon them wherever they go & whatever they do.

Whereas, this happened in my workplace, when most of my colleagues are journeying to a career advancement with other establishment except for someone whom she empathized my being of distress in times of need and manning shortage. No words could able to describe her kindness towards my situation and for denying a prospective job tender just for my sake. I am very grateful to know her as a subordinate and a true friend in times of trouble.

Inevitably, there are many instances on how one can betray or stay disloyal towards the family unit for their own matters of interests. There is neither equilibrium nor an easy containment that can withhold one’s loyalty and continuous engagement with an institution. Over the years, we have read the statistics of marriage separations, divorces, employment turnover, business ties and so forth continue to be in the increasing high.

Unlike the marriage vow or oath taken during the matrimony ceremony in church depicts the notion of faithfulness “for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part”, which reflects very badly on today’s social dignity.

I do have a question to this as to whether ‘disloyalty’ is respectable, will it ever be or has it already been a common style in the present living?

Anyway, i love & enjoy talking to my mom, she has been my inspiration when it comes to the word of wisdom and English literature. The quote above reflects very immensely on her because of the tremendeous amount of effort, time and sacrifice that she has given to us, which i called her labour of love. She has great knowledge, opinions and perspective towards every topic which we discussed. Minus the many wise advices, she could have the silliest & unimaginable thoughts and can be arguative at times. She does not believe in nurturing one's heart with fairy tales nor safe-side stories... but rather unveiling the realistic life experiences, which could be dreadful especially when we are emotionally and mentally weak. But i believe, it's for the best of her children. She has and will always continue to have a special place in my heart. my one and only mom there is to be as long as i live. Blessed Mother's day, merms!
