Dumplings delight

Here's a sneak peak of our dinner. This is my very first attempt in making dumpling soup or 'Sui Kao'.. The outcome was quite OK, however consistency of seasoning is an area i would like to improve. I am sharing the recipe which i discovered over the internet.

Ingredients:
Minced prawn
Minced pork
Shitake mushroom
Carrot
Cilantro
Corn starch
Water or broth
*Round dumpling wrappers

Seasoning:
Oyster sauce
Salt
Sugar
Black pepper
Sesame oil

Garnishing:
Spring onions
Fried shallots

Methods:
While boiling the water or broth. Season the ingredients all together in a bowl, excluding the *Round dumpling wrap, of course... Mix it well. Then only wrap a spoonful of the mixture with the dumpling wrap. You may want to secure the wrap by wetting the edge or perimeter upon sealing it. Put the dumplings into boiled water / broth slowly piece by piece and gently stir it so that it does not stick to the surface of the boiling pot. You'll know it's done once dumpling afloats, turned transparent and wrinkled. Garnish it with fried shallots (i made mine, freshly chopped and fried to perfection) or a simple pre-packed fried onions will also do the trick. Sprinkle spring onions prior serving.

As you may noticed that i dont have a close-up of the dumplings.. only covered up with greens on the top. So sorry for this as i was busy eating after the cooking and forgotten all about the finishing picture... :D And here are some of the rest of the dishes that goes with the day's dinner. Since, i over estimated the dumpling's mixture.. i made fried dumpling patties out of the excess...
